Biography

Andy Fallon is a London-based portrait photographer.
When I first moved to London I quickly discovered that the underground art scene provided an inexpensive social life meet some exciting new artists. This kickstarted my career photographing the ‘Young British Artists’ in London for ID magazine and The Sunday Times magazine.

Combining the things you’re passionate about with photography is often the best place to start, so I began photographing the music and dance scene.
Music magazines would send you on assignment halfway across the globe, often without giving you a brief, and you had to return with something eye-catching to present to the picture editor. This gave me the confidence to push performers creatively to get the shot.

I have recently enjoyed the challenge of fusing photography and audio storytelling on BBC Radio.

My series of talks on the creative process of photography has been a great way to share my experience with university courses and creative agencies.
